Clean Quartz crystals of any size are uncommon from this area. This ridge of almost solid, sharp Quartz crystals to 1.2 cm is sparkly and attractive. Very likely collected in the 40's - 60's, according to Ross Lillie. This is a fine example of the species, and to my mind, even better than the two pieces pictured in the MR Fluorite Distict issue (Vol. 28, No. 1). Better in person, too, because the luster is so nice! Rare for the district!
