This classic Cornwall libethenite is loaded with sparking, dark green, vitreous, pseudo-octahedral crystals on matrix. These fine crystals (sharp, and to several mm) are well-placed on the elongated silicified and iron-stained matrix. Libethenite is an uncommon copper phosphate sometimes found in the oxidized portions of copper deposits. A handsome specimen from the Sam Weller collection with his label.
