Chalcopyrites from this classic area of Germany often have great brilliance and luster. The patina is remarkable, with the striated, metallic, brassy-gold crystals having flashes of red and purple that add to the dazzle. The largest of the crystals is 1.6 cm, and Chalcopyrite is intergrown with plates of grey, drusy Quartz. The complexity of the cluster exposes numerous faces and edges, which enhances the sparkling effect. Unusual and beautiful!
