This specimen is an older piece from Brazil, probably from the 1960's at latest, and is remarkably not repaired! It is a glassy, bright specimen with a very dramatic, fat, gemmy crystal rising from sparing lepidolite matrix. The color play alternates between red and clear with a blue band that is quite unusual, about 1/3 down from the termination. It is really an exquisite matrix specimen and I think at a fair price compared to all the contemporary Pederneiras, many with repairs no less, that fetch the same price. 8.5 x 7 x 2.9 cm
