A fine, incredibly complex architectural crystal of spessartine from the notable find at the Navegadora Mine. This one was in the personal garnet suite of dealer/miner/collector Bill Larson of Pala Properties. They are usually rather flat and more solid, though still pretty - where this one is airy and sculptural in form, and its relative thinness allows the light to get through and light up its intense red color, which is uncommon for these (you usually have to hold them up to a light to see the stunning gemminess) .
