This is one of the finest hematites out there from Utah, I would guess - certainly the best I have seen in the size range. It is a large miniature featuring superb, mirror bright, dark, silvery gray, crystals of hematite in a rosette shape more characteristic of the classic Swiss material (eisenrosen). They are huge for the locality, to 3 cm in length, and are clustered together attractively. Absolutely amazing from the locality, this is an old rarity that has been hiding out for decades until now! ex Drs. Raul and Helen Madrid collection, of Napa Valley.
