The Auglaize Quarry in Ohio is remowned for its zoned Fluorites such as this robust and large crystal. Classically, there is a purple core surrounded by a clear, gemmy outer zone, exactly as we have here. This single is 2.1 cm across, with very good luster and finely-stepped faces. Naturally, it is contacted on the base. A good, representative specimen for this locality.
