Recently, the various gem tracts around Luc Yen have produced some impressive Sapphire crystals. These are easily some of the most attractive Sapphire crystals to come out of any locality. The crystals on this specimen have lustrous, translucent, sharp faces with an eye-catching pink color. Despite a few contacts and some intergrown Phlogopite, it is still a very good size crystal group for Sapphire, especially since the faces are so sharp, and not at all rounded. This locality has the potential to produce some superb Sapphires. This is a good specimen from this up and coming locality. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
