A sharply crystallized rosette, or spherical aggregate rather, of translucent brucite from this important East Coast locality. It was almost certainly collected during the mid to late 1800s heyday here. Fine miniatures of this material, that actually have some aesthetics, are VER rare and hard to get ahold of. I have had bigger pieces, pricier pieces, bigger crystals, but never such a nice showy specimen for the size.
