A showy, old-time Austrian specimen of two, lustrous, partially gemmy, rose-red zoisite crystals nicely placed in a vug with quartz in banded gneiss from a CLASSIC locality - Zillertal. The crystals reach 3.2 cm and the terminations are contacted. This remains a highly representative specimen of the species, with uncommon coloration, from this famous locale. Ex.
