Four large, deep cherry-red almandine garnet crystals are artfully lined up on the crest of biotite matrix on this fine specimen from a very uncommon Idaho locale - St. Maries in Benewah County. These classic dodecahedrons, with modified, beveled edges, reach 3.4 cm and have beautiful zones of gemminess. This is a fine, two-sided specimen. Ex. Don Boydston Collection.
