Description
Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate-hydroxide with prime pieces mined and recovered in the DRC in 2013 and 2014. This piece consists of a multitude of tiny botryoids of medium blue Shattuckite that cover the surface of a partial vug in granular to radial massive, sky blue Shattuckite. This find represents the largest and showiest pieces of the species ever produced to date. These originally came out labeled as Plancheite, but we had the first samples X-rayed at University of Arizona and they are, in all the color varieties you see here, all phases of Shattuckite. A unique specimen showing a natural "pocket" that actually formed as fillings in a vein, or between cobbles, in a large deposit. In some rare cases, such as this, the complete pocket could be recovered. Interesting!

Shattuckite Sales Data
How this data is collected: Our system continuously monitors mineral listings from authorized dealer partners across the internet. We have explicit permission from all dealers whose listings we track - any dealers who have not provided specific and explicit authorization are NOT listed and NOT tracked by our system. When a previously available listing is marked as sold or removed from sale, we record this as a completed transaction. While we cannot guarantee the exact final sale price (as negotiations may occur), this data represents publicly listed prices for specimens that have transitioned from "for sale" to "sold" status. This provides valuable market insights based on observable listing behavior patterns.
