A strange doublet of quartz stalactites with interesting mushroom-looking caps, covered with a very thin layer of aragonite deposited on top. Of course, the aragonite, which is snowy white, can be dissolved off in acide to reveal the underlaying quartz. In person, however, the unusual coating and snow-white color really makes this piece stand out. The piece is complete all around and 3-dimensional! 9.1 x 4.1 x 3.1 cm
