Gemmy and lustrous forsterite variety peridot crystals comprise nearly this entire volcanic bomb fragment of olivine crystals from a much less well-known locale in New Mexico - the Kilbourne Hole in Dona Ana County. Most of the crystals are olive-green, with some being a surprising emerald-green. Crystals reach 7 mm. A black accessory mineral adds character. Older material, seldom available.
