Allanite
This specimen was in the well-known rare-earth elements suite of collector Bob Nowakowski, and is the best I have seen of the material for sale. This is a very rare example of American allanite, furthermore of large size and thick habit. It is rather large by any standard for the species. It comes from a small find, probably 30 years ago now, made near Butte in Montana. Associations are feldspar and a minute titanite crystal.
