Clinoclase
A well-placed vug in sulfide matrix is richly lined with radial aggregates of elongated, acicular, deep blue clinoclase microcrytals. This fine specimen is from Mammoth Mine of the Tintic District in Utah. Lighter green malachite is a nice accent. Ex. Don Belsher Collection and one label indicates that the piece was obtained in a trade in 1946. The specimen probably dates to prior to World War I.
