This specimen features a ridge of gorgeous, juicy colored crystals to 1.8 cm, sitting atop a very fine plate of smaller crystals, and showing off extraordinary gemminess and intensity of color saturation. You can really see why the Chinese are calling these "tanzanite fluorites" from the photos here! The color is evident with little lighting, and these crystals are gemmier than most. Everything glitters and sparkles, and there is no damage to the display face. The main crystal is complete all around, as a bonus. The specimen displays very well, stood up with the ridge atop, in a display case. The lighting required to show off the juicy color is very minimal, and comes in at a good angle to create a good contrast of color to the sparkling matrix underneath. The matrix itself has interesting contours, whereas many of these are just on "rock" and not as nice in contrast to the fluorites. A lovely small cabinet piece. (Note the name is to denote the coloring of the fluorite and not an actual combination of the two species here.)
