Okay, we do not often have Arkansas quartz specimens in the auction, but why not? I mean, they ARE sensationally good quartzes - in fact, so good that the military used them for optical quartz during WWII. This is a BIG plate of gemmy crystals, very 3-dimensional, with a hillock in back above a field of radiating crystals below. "Common" Quartz or not, you have to give specimens such as this credit for being real showpieces! 26.4 x 16.5 x 13.0cm
