A large plate of SUPERB cuboctahedral crystals of purple fluorite, quite uncommon in crystals this transparent from this area, and particularly in such a rich and large specimen. The fine, large crystals (to 4 cm across) are literally piled up on the quartz matrix. The trim job is excellent. This type of crystal from the De'an area is the rarer sort, and many are a very dark purple. Relatively few have this light, transparent beauty. So this is a significant specimen; and would qualify as a major fluorite from ANYWHERE! But, it doesn't cost a fortune like older locales do, these days 16.5 x 13.5 x 6.5 cm
