Babingtonite is an uncommon silicate and this fine Chinese specimen features a 1.3 cm, sharp, lustrous and striated, black babingtonite crystal set on a two-sided crust of lustrous, translucent, pastel-green, botryoidal prehnite. This piece is from recent finds at Qiaojia, Yunnan Province.
