Azurite
Description
Expert lapidary work is apparent in this free-form carving by renowned azurite-malachite specialist Bud Standley. The richness of the concentric banding of lighter blue against deep indigo is revealed by the excellent polish. A bit of malachite adds a nice contrast. This material is from the famous Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. 1.7 x 1.2 x 0.7 cm
