Description
This is a truly outstanding, significant, world class phenakite specimen from the important finds here of the 1940s and early 1950s (the "Pough era" as some call it). It has only recently been sold to me out of a private collection and has some history with it which will come with purchase. I have NEVER seen such a significant Brazilian phenakite for sale, and this blew me away when it turned up. It is complete all around as you can see from the front and back shots, nicely crystallized on both sides. To me, this weird and exotic mineral is much more interesting than just another tourmaline for the price, and far more irreplaceable.

Phenakite Sales Data
How this data is collected: Our system continuously monitors mineral listings from authorized dealer partners across the internet. We have explicit permission from all dealers whose listings we track - any dealers who have not provided specific and explicit authorization are NOT listed and NOT tracked by our system. When a previously available listing is marked as sold or removed from sale, we record this as a completed transaction. While we cannot guarantee the exact final sale price (as negotiations may occur), this data represents publicly listed prices for specimens that have transitioned from "for sale" to "sold" status. This provides valuable market insights based on observable listing behavior patterns.
