From the world famous rhodo mine in Colorado, this complete rhomb is lustrous, translucent, and a bright cherry red color. It is MUCH GEMMIER AND TRANSLUCENT In PERSON! This large, single, rhomb is also a COMPLETE FLOATER! It is rough on back, and not quite symmetric, but the contacts are all natural and there is no damage per se. It is a large rhodo which is good to start with even in normal lighting, to be sure. Moreover, is it ever vivid when backlit! This is a super single crystal from the early 1990s and the first finds of the reopening at this locality and was significant for its day. It stil remains so, for the size and quality.5.6 x 3.2 x 1.7 cm
