This is a classic example of older material from the Brandberg area, with sharp crystals combining quartz bases with grape-juice purple amethyst caps. It has a certain look to it, from the color contrast, that you do not see often in quartz, and it makes you wonder how such things form, where the color changes so much in the same crystal! This is on a hard rock matrix, characteristic of what came out in the early 2000s from the Brandberg park area.
