This old copper deposit produced its best chalcocite specimens around the middle of the 1800's. This specimen features several large, striated, matte black, crystals to 2.2 cm in length. For the size, and the price range in particular, this is both Superb and rare! It is complete all around and 3-dimensional: with just very minor damage in the form of a few broken secondary crystals hard to notice. As such, it is a quite sharp miniature for both crystal size and overall displayabillity - these are AT LEAST 100 years old, and few of such quality can be had!
