Uvarovite Garnet
Huge crystals for the locality, this specimen features three isolated crystals to 1.5 cm frozen in matrix. Rarely do you see this size in a classic old Finland garnet. These were so rare and treasured among European collectors for hundreds of years. They seldom turn up for sale today. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, and we sold it to him perhaps in the early 2000s after a purchase from collector Jack Halpern.
