This quarry is one of the most classic locales in New England, and the association of Babingtonite with Prehnite almost immediately invokes thoughts of the Lane & Sons Traprock quarries. This piece is a good reference specimen hosting black, bladed crystal of Babingtonite with soft green color, lutrous Prehnite on matrix. This piece comes from the collection of noted Colorado geologist Allen Heyl.
