This is a huge, doubly-terminated, super-gemmy quartz crystal from a find in Pakistan, distinctive in that the crystals have this wonderful, bizarre natural etching that gives their surface a sort of "cut-glass" look. There are sharp, jagged diamond etch pits all everywhere. And yet, the etching did not take away from the brightness of the crystal - the surface is still quite lustrous and gives a nice clear view into the wonderfully transparent interior.
