This is a classic from the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. The Sunnyside mine produced some very well known Rhodochrosite association specimens in its history. This specimen is a hard-to-find cabinet specimen comprising a plate of small, light pink Rhodochrosite rhombohedra which are associated with a few pale green, translucent, complex Fluorite crystals (combination cube, octahedron and dodecahedron) measuring up to 2.2 cm with a "wash" of snow-white Quartz crystals and minor sulfides. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
