Anglesite, Baryte
Rare, gemmy and lustrous, green anglesite crystals aesthetically fill a vug in starkly contrasting snow-white or iron oxide-coated baryte matrix on this very fine old-time specimen from a classic and extinct Sardinia locale - the Montevecchio Mine. The large crystal is 9 mm and is doubly terminated. The specimen was recovered from the Sanna Stope, according to what literature I have found online. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
