This beautiful combination specimen features a pristine, deep red/maroon crystal of the best red color, perched snugly on the side of a baveno-twinned feldspar! The tourmaline is about 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide, and is glassy and very bright. It is translucent, if not transparent. Minute decorations of gemmy purple lepidolite add a bit of accent, as well. This is just a very beautiful, well-arranged, unusual combination piece, remarkable for its condition and size as well as for the aesthetics. The color is more vibrant on the tourmaline, and therefore more contrasting to the feldspar, in person.
