Here is a classic and historic specimen of rich golden Fluorite from the Freiberg mining district in Germany. The piece hosts several, sharp, gem/gemmy, lustrous cubes which grade into a pale green color at the base. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 2.0 cm on edge. The specimen comes from the Rich Kosnar Collection. He obtained the piece from George White in 1988 (label included), and George obtained the piece from Eckert Mineral Research of Florence, Colorado circa 1960. There is one final unattributed label with the piece with hand-written script that dates back to around the turn of the 20th Century.
