Fluorite
This Chinese fluorite find has to be one of the most exciting of the past five years - large plates of razor-sharp, translucent octahedrons with unique purple and green tones, in contrasting stark white quartz. The mining has stopped now - any specimens you see are from existing stock. This excellent cabinet plate is dominated by a striking octahedron measuring 3.4 x 3.4 x 3.3 cm.
