Acicular crystals of betektinite to 6 cm in length have been totally altered to brassy yellow chalcopyrite. Betektinite is an uncommon copper/iron/lead sulfide and this is the best locality in the world for large crystals of the species. However, I had never seen a piece like this! It is elegant and unusual in appearance, and complete on both sides. This unusual specimen was photographed and illustrated in the MR supplement in May-June of 2013 on page 20. Ex Dale Armstrong collection.
