Ametrine from the Anahi Mine, Bolivia, is special because it is the premier world locality for this gorgeous Quartz variety involving a core of Citrine and an outer jacket of Amethyst. Although slightly etched , as is typical for these, resulting in their somewhat rounded edges and faces, as in this piece, this crystal commands attention for its size and how it radiates yellow-purple from the core to the exterior, even with minimal illumination! Minor chipping locally on this otherwise exceptional piece. This is exceptionally well colored, and comes from finds now over a decade ago.
