Tourmaline and Kunzite
Description
This unique assemblage of blue tourmaline (indicolite) with kunzite simply jumps out at you. I have never seen another like it, except only a larger example from the same pocket which we also bought back in 2020. The vividly blue tourmaline stands 2.8 cm tall. The kunzite is a total gem, sharply terminated, transparent, and 2.2 cm tall. This is a truly sophisticated thumbnail in style, and shape. It is absolutely unique in my experience. I would love to see it go into a fine TN collection labelled as "kunzite on tourmaline" as I cannot imagine a better kunzite matrix thumbnail specimen! So, the hard thing is to make a label and decide which species comes first. No repairs. So far as we know, this pocket produced just a few pieces and nothing like it has come before or since.
