Description
A fine combination specimen from the small, but well-known old quarry at Bergheim, Alsace, France. A band of sharp, lustrous, translucent, purple fluorite cubes is attractively sandwiched between lustrous, off-white baryte blades on top and a "porch" of massive limestone beneath. The large fluorite cube is 2.0 cm and is pristine. The jackstraw pattern of the baryte blades against the purple fluorite cubes really sets this fine piece off. Ex. George Elling Collection.
