A beautiful and complex crystal of these now-famous Brazilian Spessartine Garnets from the Navegadora Mine in Minas Gerais state. The superb luster, gemminess and multiplex faces with intricate, geometric, angular forms of this crystal are subline! This is an incredible miniature. A very attractive, zinfandel-red miniature whose interior glows due to its transparency and internal reflections! A minor amount of crystalline Quartz and Albite serves as the matrix for this classic, gorgeous Spessartine. Great specimens such as this are very difficult to obtain, largely due to the fact that they are some of the most unique and distinctive Garnet crystals extant. The combination of unique form, lustrous faces, and intense color make these specimens a must-have for any collector specializing in Garnet or worldwide minerals! Roberts Mineral International label dating this to the best ever pockets of the material, from the late 1990s and early 2000's.
