Boracite - Boulby Mine, UK
specimen
Boracite
Description
A SUPERB and AESTHETIC 3-dimensional, vuggy cluster of very gemmy, sharp, lustrous, sea-green boracite crystals from the famous Boulby Mine of England. Boracite is a rare borate and this is a very rich and fine, older specimen for the species and classic locality. Boracite crystals richly cover the back, also. Ex. Scott Williams and Lindsay Greenbank Collections. Aside from the pedigree, though, it has color and luster which speak for itself. These came out in the early 1990s.
