Allan Young has won the prestigious Desautels Award for Best Rocks at the Tucson Show with thumbnails, such as this. This very aesthetic thumb consists of a super-sharp, matte, dark gray chalcocite crystal proudly perched upright on massive chalcocite matrix and beautifully wreathed on one side by two, curved silver wires.
