Typically the Magnetite specimens from this locality are closely grown together, and this is a great example of said material. This piece has excellent quality, good size, razor sharp, lustrous, metallic, black, "Alpine-type" octahedra associated on matrix. The largest Magnetite crystal measures 1.0 cm, which is good size for the locality. There are no other localities producing Magnetites of this quality today, and there are few localities in the world that have ever produced Magnetite like this.
