The Sapo Mine blue caps of the late 1990s really shocked us when they came out for the beautiful color pattern and intense blue tops with luster not seen since a very few specimens came out of San Diego in 1972. They literally evaporated from the market at that time. I had this piece then, around 1998 or so, when I bought it as a big clunker after it was mined. I trimmed it down to size and sold it as you see here. To this day, it remains one of the VERY few matrix examples of this find that I know of. It features a sharp crystal with excellent luster, that is almost 5 cm long. The termination is 2 cm across and has the BEST luster and most saturated blue color you could ask for.
