A fine cabinet specimen of glassy, vivid purple amethyst crystals from the Thunder Bay District of Ontario, Canada. The large crystal is 3.1 cm across and many of the crystals have interesting purple color zoning. As is typical of many Thunder Bay amethysts, inclusions of brown hematite add a very distinctive and beautiful look. This very fine piece is nearly pristine.
