The Kaokoveld has recently produced not only the finest Dioptase in a long time, but ALSO the finest primary malachites we have seen since the old Congo and Emke mine material of past decades. And, the style is really different! This piece is a robust radial spray of primary malachite crystals, complete all around and draped by a calcite crust on back. Aesthetic! Joe Budd Photos.
