Large plate of GEM crystals showing pink transparent ocothedra to 3 cm, with fuzzy green cores to them characteristic of this pocket. These crystals come from the single most famous and rare pocket of fluorite found in Peru, in 1980 or 1981, that consisted of gem pink octohedra with mint green cores. They almost never turn up on the market anymore! They have not been equaled or duplicated since. They remain unique to this time and place. Only a few very trivial dings or slight contacts mar the periphery, visible only upon very close inspection. Like others from the pocket, the piece is almost a floater: Minor pyrite is attached to the backside, which is actually technically crystallized all around (it is crystallized against a contact face where growth was constrained, and not broken or cleaved).
