The Tschudi Mine is much less well-known than its nearby neighbor, the Tsumeb Mine. However, the Tschudi Mine has occasionally produced excellent azurite specimens, as evidenced by this fine toenail. Highly lustrous, parallel-growth, azurite blades are antithetically stacked vertically and have the much-sought-after "electric blue" or peacock blue highlights. The green malachite and gossan matrix are a very nice contrast to the azurite. Seldom available in this quality.
