Selenite is not a rare mineral, but good old German specimens are quite uncommon and generally unavailable on the market. This one is truly impressive, not just for its size, but the glassy excellence of the crystals which cover the face of the matrix - and with very few missing crystals, even though selenite is notoriously soft and brittle.
