A LARGE plate of purple fluorite from the new finds at the Okarusu. There is no matrix here - this is basically a crust of solid crystals that formed on the smooth underlying matrix and then was removed intact! There are hints of green and yellow in some of the crystals. The largest crystals measure over 2 cm on edge. Very impressive!
