A sharp, pristine, floater cuprite crystal with textbook octahedral crystal form beautifully coated with malachite from Chessy, France. The crystal faces are strongly recessed or hoppered, giving a dramatic effect. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is an outstanding example of a classic form and species. Ex. Dick Jones Thumbnail Collection.
