A ball of bright blue microcrystalline azurite from the famous azurite locality of Zacatecas, which also produced bladed crystals and fine rosettes. This ball of solid azurite formed as a knob on top of some sort of iron-oxide-heavy matrix. You can see a concavity underneath where it was attached. Ex. Stoudt Collection.
